To mark the day (technically, I’m on an infinite days off but today’s labor day which makes today a day off within a day off so it must be special).
In case I suddenly won’t feel like posting photos tomorrow or ever. It doesn’t look much like Dodiongan Falls but that’s how it looks from directly below.

I was going through my e-mails to look for a calling card. I’m updating my resume for this job fair I have to attend tomorrow. Then I find this when I accidentally clicked on the Heima blog link:

That was a year ago already and I still haven’t talked about it here. I wanted to share the experience in adequate detail because I think it needs it. It’s close to exactly a year ago when I had been scandalously bold in flying to manila looking for Cubao X and LRI to hand in my resume. It was quite embarrassing getting an interview on your employer’s birthday
But yay, they took me in (I think I had points for mileage). They couldn’t possibly send me away specially not on the eve of my birthday. haha.
Man. Good times. You guys go give it a go, you!
In other news, our gram is now hitched to the ventilator. She can now handle the pressure and we hope should be getting better. They now only allow one person at a time in the unit to watch her. I really do hope things get easier for her. Even if that means it goes either way.

Flowers from some of the cities I’ve been this summer. I hadn’t taken my camera with me in most trips so I pressed little keepsakes between pages of books I’ve been reading.
i. Cebu, Cebu - because they remind me much of childhood in Cebu
ii. Dapitan, Zamboanga - picked somewhere along the baywalk from the restaurant to the resort.
iii. San Pablo, Laguna from the 3.7 km stroll around Sampaloc lake plus trekking
iv. Makati, Manila - after talking the entire night with a complete stranger at Heima’s staff house and walking for coffee in the morning
v. Dipolog, Zamboanga - lunch at the port while waiting for the ferry
vi. Quezon, Manila - a little something I picked up from the streets I used to walk everyday to class.
vii. Intramuros, Manila - there were lovers everywhere while I waited for friends to arrive so I pressed the nearest flower inside my book, trying to look poetic and all.
viii. Dumaguete, Negros - while asking for directions from a vendor
ix. XXXXX
x. XXXXX
xi. XXXXX
xii. Tagaytay, Cavite - outside Bag of Beans, after the loveliest coffee I’ve ever had. Not for the roast but the view that came with it.
All that’s left of the sun-soaked months of this year.
El Tejado

I spent the entire day sprawled on the bed, too weak to even read a book or keep my eyes on the screen from some medicine I took. Throwing myself into the pool in as many ways I could think of yesterday might have made me a little wrong in the brain. The many days before that had taken its toll as well.
My friends came over the later half of the afternoon and we spent the rest of today at my secret, but not really, secret spot traipsing along the ledges. It’s just three floors up but far enough from the rest of the world for a trio of loons to enjoy a little pure unadulterated exchange of drunken thoughts. I realized I hadn’t been laughing quite enough the past month after just a night reunited.
I just found this photo of the entire Heima team on twitter and it made me feel all schmaltzy all of a sudden. Dang.
In One or Two Weeks Time
Patience, young padawan.
Dad used to take a lot of stupid photos of us like this when we were little. So I guess that was what I was going for when I found him like this early in the morning by tita’s outdoor kitchen.

And the lovers they run from dawn til dusk
For love is plenty as nectarines
Purple haze, summer musk
of sweat and honey and tattered jeans

Picked some summer blooms on my way home from picking up my ukulele over at fourhappypeas’. Thinking of tucking as many flowers inside my sketchbooks this summer. Ok, that sounded gay.

Before any more of you guys get any ideas about how “cool” I am for having a surfboard.
Well. Sorry to disappoint but I am not. I think I’m not even sorry. haha. This is not mine. A friend just lent me this. And yesterday he had me had me draw things on it to get back together with my other friend. It just so happens that I’ve yet to prepare this for them for tomorrow because I have to leave town so it’s lying on my bed while I pack. I don’t surf.
But I’m going to have a blast this summerrrrr! Mohohohoho
Weeehooo! Packing fun! Not much of a fan of packing but this trip got me really excited.
I don’t use this bottle at all - it makes me smell like a walking taxi but it looks so bright and summery and I needed something to hold to show you my nails. hahaha
Geeze, this is a happy birthday month! :D
I better be heading out to my friend’s to finish up on our paper now. Gonna have to leave it at this state.
